Gymnastics Peak – Rings

Become a true master of the olympic rings in this advanced class. Learn advanced ring skills and master your upper body strength.

We ask that to enter this class, students be able to demonstrate a 30 second false grip hold, 10 sec L sit on rings in a turned out position, 4 meter rope climb in a straddle position, and 5 full range ring dips. In this class we teach more advanced Gymnastic ring strength training, for the safety of our students this is an advanced class only.

Handstand

Perfect the art of the handstand! A goal of many, but no easy feat, this is one skill you want to learn in your life-time. And at Lift, we host classes on the art of handstand – from beginner through to pro, this class has something to offer.

We stretch and activate the wrist and shoulder joint. We learn and develop hollow body position ideal for handstand, and we work through our handstand progressions under the safety and guidance of the gymnastics coach.

Gymnastics Base – Stretch

In order to become a gymnast (or really, an athlete of any kind) we must first be able to manoeuvre the body into many positions with ease.

We use active gymnastic flexibility techniques, and stahl bar and partner stretching activities. This is a class dedicated to improving all over body active range of motion. Essential for athletes of any discipline.

Gymnastics Pre-Hab – Shoulder

Sometimes in sport, we have limiting factors. For many people, the shoulder is that limiting factor. So, we developed this class.

In this session you will work on flexibility and strength in the shoulder joint. This class is ideal for anyone suffering from poor mobility, injury and poor structural balance in the Upper body.

Gymnastics Pre-hab – Hip

In many sports, hip mobility is crucial. However, for many people, it can be a glaring weakness – for many people, this comes from years at a desk or sitting in chairs. But fear not. In this session you will work on flexibility and strength in the hip joint. This class is ideal for anyone suffering from poor mobility, injury and poor structural balance in the lower body.

Gymnastics Base

Just starting with gymnastics? It’s never too late to get started at this all-round sport of skill, flexibility and strength. This class is for the beginner to intermediate gymnast. It is ideal for an adult to develop the strength and skills required to master the basics of Gymnastics.

Clean & Jerk Light

Master the Clean & Jerk in this weightlifting class, which is light to focus on speed and technique. A Clean and Jerk and Over head press session with high reps, low sets, working on a lower percentage of your max.

Clean & Jerk Heavy

Designed to improve your maximum strength, this Clean and Jerk Session includes Front Squats at lower reps and higher sets, where you’ll be working at higher percentages of your max.

Snatch Light

Master the Snatch in this weightlifting class, which is light to focus on speed and technique. A snatch and lower back strengthening session which allows you to build the technique to perform a heavier snatch. This class focuses on high reps, low sets and lower percentages of your max.

Snatch Heavy

A class to put your Snatch technique into practice at a higher percentage of your max. This Snatch and High bar back squat session involves lower reps, higher sets and is designed to improve your max strength.
